SPECIES OF KILN DRIED OAK

0 - Type; One side is clean, the other side is usually clean as well. Minimal defects can be reduced. Parts I - II of the log are mostly cut. Suitable for long products.

I - Species; One side may have a minimal defect, a branch, etc., may be reduced, the other side is not evaluated. Parts I - II of the log are mostly cut. Suitable for long products.

II - Species; One side can have 2-5 branches or others, can be reduced, the other side is not evaluated. Suitable for shorter products, steps, etc.

III - Species; Everything that is not suitable for other species. Suitable for short products, working with epoxy resin and etc.


* If the dried wood is not processed, it is cut with a grater or other device that does not have very high precision, and this processing method is sufficient for the wood, the thickness can vary from (+/-) 1-2 millimeters. In most cases, the error is positive, because before drying, the entire product is cut with an allowance for drying. For example, if it is stated that it is 50 mm thick with a star, then in most cases it will be 50 mm or 51 mm. Less than 50mm can happen in very rare cases.
