Dried ash wood
Freshly cut or already sawn wood is only raw material for further production and processing processes, it becomes a valuable structural material only after removing most of the moisture from it, drying it in designated dryers or naturally. Dried wood is more expensive and its assortment is dominated by a significantly smaller selection of dimensions.
Wood is dried according to its type and intended use, therefore the moisture content of the wood to which the wood must be dried depends on the purpose of the wood. Wood intended for the production of furniture, stairs, railings and other interior products must be dried to 7 - 8%, for construction products - to 18 - 20%, etc.
Dried ash wood is one of the most valued deciduous species due to its strength, elasticity and appearance. It is a material that is chosen by both professional furniture manufacturers and builders and interior designers.
The main advantages of dried ash wood:
Strength and elasticity
Ash is a very strong, yet flexible wood, making it perfect for structures where impact-resistant and at the same time flexible material is required.
Due to these properties, ash is used for sports equipment (e.g. baseball bats, skis, hoops) and stairs.
Beautiful texture and color
Naturally light, yellowish-brown color with a clear, decorative texture.
Perfect for interiors, as it gives a feeling of warmth and naturalness.
Can be easily tinted or left natural, depending on the design idea.
Easy to process
Dried ash wood is well cut, sanded, glued, painted and varnished.
Suitable for both large furniture and small items.
Durability
Properly dried ash wood is less likely to warp, split or crack.
Suitable for indoor use for many years without loss of quality.
Environmental friendliness
It is a natural, sustainable material that can be recycled or composted.
